    ECO-FRIENDLY CHRISTMAS CRAFTS THE KIDS WILL LOVE!

     

    Do you have a young, little Picasso at home who just adores all things crafts? Looking for some fun, Christmas themed, eco-friendly craft ideas to do with them? Well you came to the right blog post! 

    We have found 5 super fun, creative, Christmas themed craft ideas that are sure to be real crowd pleasers for the little ones 🙌🏽

    Let's get to it! ⬇️

     

    1) FELT PINE CONE FOXES

    Now these Felt Pine Cone Foxes are ridiculously cute- BUT first things first, before you begin to get creative with your kiddos, please remember to first clean & prep your pine cones (this is super important).  To clean, simply place on a baking mat and bake at 200 degrees for 2-3 hours. This will remove any built up mildew, mold or sticky sap.

    WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

    2) WATERLESS SNOW GLOBES

    This is a fun one by little hiccups !

    What you will need: 

    • WIDE MOUTH MASON JAR
    • HOT GLUE GUN (Adult super vision required for this one)
    • ARTIFICIAL SNOW
    • ECO glitter (optional)
    • PINE CONES OR SMALL FIGURINES (you could totally just use one of your kids' pre-loved ones for this!)

    HOW TO:

      1. Glue your figurine or pine cone to the inside of the mason jar lid
      2. Add your fake snow and or glitter to the mason jar
      3. Seal the lid to the mason jar and ensure it's sealed tightly, flip upside down and Voila!

     

    3) CINNAMON DOUGH ORNAMENTS

    You and the kids are going to love this craft + your home will smell like a bakery! 

    What you will need:

    • Ground cinnamon
    • Natural unsweetened apple sauce
    • White glue
    • Rolling pin
    • Mason jar
    • Evergreen leaves
    • Straw

    4) MINI RUSTIC TWIG CHRISTMAS TREES

     

    Time to take the kids for a quick outing to your backyard or your local park to go in search of the perfect twigs to make these mini rustic Christmas trees!

    Don't forget to pre clean all the twigs before crafting to prevent any critters from staying on the twigs.  To clean place twigs on a baking mat and bake in oven at 200 degrees for 2-3 hours.

    What you will need:

    • Cardboard pieces from cereal boxes or any box
    • Glue
    • Pruning sheers like this one!.  These are always optional but helpful if you want to avoid breaking all the twigs
    • Push pin
    • Pencil and paper
    • Pencil sized twigs
